IMA Brightens the Future of Mosaics
Mosaic lovers will be thrilled with the new Institute of Mosaic Art, directed by Laurel True, my good friend and partner-in-mosaic-crime. Housed in a bright and cheery 5000 sq. ft facility in Oakland's Jingletown Arts District, the IMA offers a stellar selection of mosaic and mosaic-related courses for students of all levels.
You can expect quality instruction by experienced professionals in comfortable and well-equipped classrooms. As an added bonus, the school also includes a gorgeous retail supply shop, Mosaic Studio Supply. The shop makes hunting down mosaic materials a thing of the past. Watch for the Lecture Series, Movie Nights, Mosaic Exhibitions and more. It's all under one big purple roof!
